Countries of the world

Stefan Siegert

This deck contains 199 (aka almost all) countries of the world as country-name/country-outline-on-a-map pairs. The front of the card shows country name and an empty map of a larger geographic region, the back of the card shows the country marked in red, but without the country name. So the cards can be used front-to-back ("Where is this country?") and back-to-front ("Name that country!").

The country names and map data were taken from the package "rworldmap"[1] of the R statistical computing environment[2]. I made small modifications like fixing typos in country names, and removing some small islands I didn't want to learn. The resulting collection contains 199 sovereign countries, dependent countries, and regions of disputed/indeterminate status.

I downloaded the basic project, but when I try to download these sets I can't find the folder it's located in.
